This unique cookbook is both a work of art and valuable reference book. It features over 100 hand drawn recipes from Marcella's Travels throughout Latin America.
This collection includes many of Marcella's favorite dishes, desserts, and drinks inspired by her travels in Central and South America; tamales, ceviche, empanadas, flan and many more favorites from countries including Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Puerto Rico. She has also included lots of pages about ingredients that are less common in the US including prickly pear, yuca root, and epazote.
The book includes an overview of Latin American cheeses available in the US, and pages describing various methods of chili preparation, how to prepare cactus, and tips for frying foods. Marcella has also devoted a page to her favorite tools in the kitchen; things that will make cooking this cuisine more efficient and more fun. The cookbook is a hardcover, 9.5 x 11.25, printed on premium 100#GSM paper. ~~If you would like Marcella to personalize your copy, please message the shop and let us know what you'd like your special note to say~
“I am completely & utterly enchanted by this book. There is just something so personal and intimate about these hand-drawn & lettered recipes — it’s like receiving a letter from a dear friend who’s been living abroad. Every page is so colorful & vibrant, you can almost smell the spices.”
“Marcella is an artist and a food-lover, and she's combined these two passions quite gorgeously..."

From Slow Cooked Pork to Avocado Pineapple Salad, Marcella's second book, Comida Cubana, beautifully illuminates a variety of Cuban Classics. Marcella traveled to Cuba in 2016 and cooked with over a dozen people on the island, sketching and recording her travels along the way. Her experiences unfold in the headnotes of every page and the book is comprised of over 100 distinctive hand-drawn recipes in watercolor and pen and ink.
Similar to her first book, Comida Cubana is an art piece and a cookbook in one, but dives deeper into the history and origin of recipes, and includes her vibrant watercolors on every page.
"Marcella's bright, colorful illustrations really capture the heart and vibrancy of Cuban cuisine." ~José Garces, Restaurateur, Iron Chef

The Book of Cocktail Ratios: The Surprising Simplicity of Classic Cocktails

* WINNER of an IACP COOKBOOK AWARD *
This book is written by New York Times bestselling author Michael Ruhlman and illustrated by Marcella Kriebel. Ruhlman applies the principles of his innovative book Ratio—about the relationships of ingredients to each other—in this delightful back-to-basics cocktail book, sharing the simple recipes and fundamental techniques that make for delicious and satisfying libations.
Did you know that a Gimlet, a Daiquiri, and a Bee’s Knees are the same cocktail? As are a Cosmopolitan, a Margarita, and a Sidecar. When hosting a party wouldn’t you enjoy saying to your guests, “Would you care for a Boulevardier, perhaps, or a Negroni?” These, too, are the same cocktail, substituting one ingredient for another. Or if you’d like to be able to shake up a batch of whiskey sours for a party of eight in fewer than two minutes, then read on.
As Michael Ruhlman explains, our most popular cocktails are really ratios—proportions of one ingredient relative to the others. Organized around five of our best-known, beloved, classic families of cocktails, each category follows a simple ratio from which myriad variations can be built: The Manhattan, The Gimlet, The Margarita, The Negroni, and the most debated cocktail ever, The Martini.
A practical reference of cocktail classics, a source of inspiration for putting a new spin on the usual gin and tonic, and an affable tribute to the pleasures of the cocktail hour, The Book of Cocktail Ratios shows you how to serve up delectable drinks in no time. Cheers!
Hardcover. Color illustrations throughout.

A portion of the profits of this print go to support the work of DC Central Kitchen, an innovative social enterprise nonprofit, founded in 1989 by Robert Egger. Mr. Egger’s vision for addressing hunger turned the traditional “food bank” approach on its head, addressing the root causes of hunger and food insecurity using food as a tool for real change. He started by collecting food which would have been tossed out by restaurants, hotels, grocery stores and the like, turning it into healthy meals prepared by those same people who would ultimately be the receivers of the food. His “community kitchen” model spread to over 60 similar central kitchens across the US and to numerous college campuses to address food waste in dining halls and transform it into meals for the hungry.
